Instructor Procedures

  • Inform your students that they must bring a picture ID when they take an exam in the Skills Center. For security purposes, ID cards are held at the Skills Center counter until the exam has been completed.
  • Submit a completed Make-up Test form for each different set of exams you submit. Include all specific instructions for students and the names and ID numbers of each student you are referring to the Skills Center.
  • Generally, most of the exams we administer are between 30 minutes and two hours in length but we can accommodate any time length for your exam.
  • DSS accommodations must be specified by the instructor (if known) or by the DSS center staff.  Please let us know the DSS accommodation, we don’t have access to their system.
  • Identify the last day an exam will be available. Students may take the exam from the time it is received.  We will process and return the completed exam (generally 1 day after) through the deadline date.  No weekend deadlines.
  • Exams can be ready for students 15 minutes after online submission.
  • Submit only one set of tests per course at a time. Maximum: 10 copies of the exam for 10 students.
  • Please be mindful that this is intended as a make-up exam, not the primary exam offering.
