ASC MISSION STATEMENT

The Academic Support Center--comprised of the Skills Center, Tutoring Center and Writing Center--promotes student success by providing diverse, flexible services for all Fullerton College students. These services are designed to meet all students’ learning needs in an inviting, appropriately-designed space, open throughout the day and evening.

The Academic Support Center pursues these goals through current technology, communication throughout all segments of the campus, appropriate counseling and referral services, staff development, and allocation of adequate resources to assess and develop all of its programs.

LAB POLICIES

To use Skills Center, Tutoring Center, or Writing Center Services, all students must scan in using their FC student ID cards. FC student ID cards may be picked up in the Student Center during posted hours. Bring your student ID card to the Lab every time you use the lab.

To use a computer in the Academic Support Center, log in using your FCNet account. FC Net accounts are automatically setup during the registration process. A student's initial password is his/her 6 digit birthday.

Using an Academic Support Center computer implies that the user agrees to the Acceptable Use Policy. Anyone found to be in violation of this policy will have their FCNet account revoked.

Persons using the lab may not add or remove any software from the computers or in any way compromise the hard drive.

Skills Center equipment is dedicated to helping students develop their academic skills. Please read the Skills Center Lab Requirements form PDF file

For other purposes, such as e-mailing, chat or surfing the web, use an appropriate campus lab or the library. Game playing and use of the computers for personal gain are prohibited.

Printing

Skills Center and Writing Center :
You can print your results in the Center as long as you have funds in your campus printing account. Deposit money to your account in the Bookstore.
